Making adult free site and making money from it

Before starting I want to say that this is only my way to do some things – it’s not right way, because there’s no such a thing. Everybody have their own ways to make free sites but you get good ideas from this and if you’re total new in adult business – you will learn a lot.

Ever wondered why free sites won't get listed or you just don't make money with them? Well you're not alone for sure!
Making cash in adult internet is not as easy at it was back in 90's. But you can still make a serious amount of revenue per/month.
Many think freesite is just any site with free content, and actually its pretty misleading term. Usually when adult webmasters speak about freesites it means 4-5 page small site.
Structure is similar to following:
- index -page (warning page)
- enter -page (page which leads to galleries)
- 2x gallery pages (actual free content resides in these pages)

Let's start from beginning, shall we.

I like to start by choosing the content:
First I recommend to forgetting sponsor free content because those picture sets are just so over promoted. And you won't get listed in many link lists, thus surfers will most likely join using your links if they see the good stuff. They don't sell Ferrari by showing pics of Buick, you know!
There are plenty of content providers with just $10-30 dollars per/photo set. See some good pics you like, don't pick pictures you have no clue what the heck they are doing there. The better you can relate to content the better you can use it when writing promoting text, plus you no doubt have much more fun while making sites. Webmasters can enjoy too, ya know!

Ok, now you have some kick-ass content that make even Eskimos dick standing up.
Now let’s go by choosing good sponsor and site to promote.

Choosing product

Take a look at your bought content, and if you already have sponsor with same niche PAY sites, choose one of those which sale the best. If you need some excellent and reliable sponsors - be welcome to see Porn-Hawk.com sponsors section here, or Candy Fox sponsor farm here. We use them by self, so they are selling fine and people running them are good people.
Anyway! Grap some banners and linking codes. Use console free (no pop-ups) linking codes and your surfers will thank you for that, even thought you may get paid little less. Also some link list reviewers may be really strict and decline site if sponsor links give huge pop-up flood. Not to mention disabling back button. IMO one easy-to-close pop up is just fine.

Now you have content and banners ready, so you can start making HTML -pages.

Making of index page

The index -page - or warning page is the one which get most of traffic and make most of sales for you. So pay special attention to this page. Simple warning box is must to have, so surfers who are not so eager to see naked butts can go away.

Play with your mind and figure out some cool attractive title. This will be also your site name and this is what surfers see first in link lists. Three to five words is enough. Don't use same name as PAY site have you are promoting. This because many link list don't allow it. Use imagination!

Place some eye-catching banner right after title text/graphic. Good way is to use 2 or three lines of text with bold and pretty big font as text link. Text link get clicked. In my experience text links are even more effective than regular banners.
And if you use banners - remember to use alt text (text you see when mouse over image in IE) and text under banner to make surfer click.

Under first advertisement, or site text is good place for warning box I talked earlier.

After that you can place AD or reserve space for link list reciprocals. Make table with four columns and three rows. This give you total of twelve places for link lists. Good amount of recips in one page is 6 to 12.

After reciprocal table you must have enter and maybe exit link too. Use your main key words in enter -link and be sure, that it looks like enter link too. Misleading surfers will get you no where.
However, good way to get clicks is to add txt or banner ad right above or below enter -link. Just remember leave a little space between ads and enter link, or any other link. If enter link is almost under of AD banner, Link List runners don’t like it.

The last thing in page should be 2257 Custodian records link. If you use sponsor content, look-up this link from bottom of PAY site you are promoting. With the new 2257 regs - if you use licensed content (which I hope), and live in USA - you must keep records yourself and use your office or home address in 2257 page. But I will not go into legal issues here.

The right wording of 2257 link is following:
18 U.S.C. 2257 Record-Keeping Requirements Compliance Statement

And this must be linked to your 2257 page. If you don’t like idea that page with your contact info will be listed in SEs – simply use robots.txt to tell spiders not to index that page. You can also use code below in hyperlink leading to your 2257 page, so Google wont follow it at all.

And this one you can use in actual 2257 page to avoid SEs to index it.

This must be between <HEAD> -tags.

Some things to remember when making warning page:
- No hardcore images. This includes banners. Showing boobies is fine thought.

- Don’t use banners that looks like thumbnails, or have text ‘enter here’, ‘click here’ etc. I say this because link list reviewer may see that as a misleading link. So only link, saying enter in warning page should be your real enter link.

- This is the page where SE spiders will hit first, so it's good idea to use decent amount of textual content, and your main keywords in hyperlinks.

- 3 links of maximum to sponsors. Note that this not includes recip links. It includes sponsor links and any other links to your own sites. 2257 is ok. It doesn’t count.

- Keep it fast loading. This is hard to remember when there’s so much high-speed DSL and cable connections, but a huge amount of internet users still use 56kb modem. Also make sure that all looks ok with resolution 800x600.

The enter page

Next is the enter page which basically contains ads and links to two galleries. Same 3-link rule is good to keep in mind here. Use same title as in index page. Title must follow whole free site or it looks like you just jumped to another site. This applies to design as well. When designing freesites, it may sometimes be a good idea to use similar color sceme than PAY site has - which you are promoting. This way surfer feels like he/she continued free tour when clicked your sponsor links.

Nice piece of textual content is good here too, for a SE food and surfers to read, get horny - click - join.


Making the gallery pages:

Well this is the fun part. Now you can actually play with your bought picture sets and look hot babes while working (you’re content is hot, right!?).
Use your favorite graphic program to compress images a bit and make them smaller. Because usually when you buy content, pics are hi-res and too big to give away for free. Good size for large pictures is 500px from the longest side. And max of 100kb. Thumbnails must also be reasonable size – not too small and not too big either. 120px height is usually ok.

Link the thumbnails directly to large images so that they open in the same page when clicked. Place thumbnails so that surfer is ‘forced’ to see all ads in page in order to see all free content. Just remember that small space between banners and thumbnails is good to have to avoid possible decline letter from link list. Don’t use flash banners. I know those can look wicked good and used widely in mainstream markets, but in free sites it most likely will lead to been declined from link lists.

Some marketing tips:

- When you make text advertisements to your site, promote the free tour. If you aren't linking directly to join -page of course. This is simply because PAY site tours are fully designed to sell membership. So do anything to make them click your links and PAY site tours should do the rest.

- Always use text under banners. Surfer read that, see cool banner and click.

- Pop-up free tours make surfers feel more secure. However, fact is that pop-ups generate sales and that's why people use those. If you decide to use tours with pop-ups (which usually gives you more cash than pop-up free), be sure that your sponsor will pay from sales coming thru pop-ups. Not all do this and that's reason they pay more when you leave them on.

- Some people say that free trials sell - other think that free trials look too suspicious in eye of surfer. I belong to last group. With any kinds of sites, I have sold well when there's at least $1.00-$4.95 3day trials. Thus you make more cash when sell memberships to more expensive trials, at least in most adult sponsors.

- You know those nasty looking, damn long affiliate codes? Well, there’s solution for it. I haven’t seen a single one link list that won’t allow using this, when used right.

With small piece of JavaScript you can change how link look when surfer mouse over it. And this will make them click more.

Example:

Now this will not look very nice, even though this is still pretty short URL.


Change it to this:

Now it will look better! But be carefully with this! It can be used to show only text at the link when mouse over, but then it’s misleading and Link List reviewer will most likely not list site like that.

Funny how there can be so much stuff with such a small sites. And these are just some common tips and guidelines. Anyway, I wish a fun time for you when building freesites and best of luck with business as in life too!
